    Brock graduated from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance. Brock developed strong analytic abilities working as an Analyst at an institutional equity research firm and brings that experience to JOI Media’s ongoing industry research and analysis operations. His knowledge of capital markets plays a key role in strategic software decisions for our Crowdfunding initiatives.

    Pheak Meas

    Pheak is an experienced veteran specializing in the evolving field of user interface design. In over 12 years in the industry, Pheak has worked alongside some of North America’s most recognized brands. He has extensive experience designing new software systems as well as working to upgrade existing operational software. Pheak brings an open mind to all interactions to compliment his exceptional talent.

    Douglas McLean

    Lead Developer

    Doug McLean has over 12 years experience working in Web Development serving in a variety of roles including Code Development, Server Maintenance, Client Relations, and Business Administration. His various roles in this field make him an excellent technical director to oversee JOI Media development projects. Doug received his Masters of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calgary; he also holds degrees in Human Resource Management, Ethics and Philosophy.

    Todd Simpson

    Todd is the Chief of Innovation at Mozilla, the developers of the Firefox Web browser, where he is working with the Mozilla community to keep the Web open and accessible. He has founded, built, and run numerous companies. Call Genie went public in Canada, Worldplay Networks continues to push the boundaries of video, EZone Networks was sold to Clubcom, and Jasomi was sold to Ditech Networks, a NASDAQ company that Todd ended up running. Todd also led research and development efforts at QSound Labs and Zi Corporation. Todd has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has authored numerous patents and papers.

    Lloyed is a partner at Boast Capital, a financial advisory firm specializing in R&D cost recovery from the government through the Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) program, Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit (IDMTC) program and the US R&D Tax Credit program. He is also a partner at Plug and Play Accelerator Canada, a subsidiary of Silicon Valley's Plug and Play Tech Center, a startup accelerator and seed-stage investor.

In 2003, Idea Machine merged with Rare Method to create the largest independent interactive agency in Western Canada. Tom served as both Vice-President and President of Rare Method. Working with fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola, Kellogg's as well as international marketing organizations like Ogilvy & Mather, Tom provides a wealth of entrepreneurial and agency knowledge in this field. Tom's most recent venture is Kudos, a SaaS solution for employee engagement and recognition.

    Scott Valentine

    Scott leads marketing, communications, public affairs and investor relations for Solium (SUM: TSX), a global provider of cloud-enabled services for equity administration, financial reporting and compliance. Since the mid-90s, Scott has held senior roles with both established and startup tech companies creating innovative solutions in SaaS, mobile apps and commercial content, including 724 Solutions (wireless financial services), and Mobovivo, a Social TV company recognized in 2012 as one of the world's "Top 10 TV Disruptors."
